The most beautiful color on any South Bend bait is this glass eyed Oreno-Teaser finished in uncataloged coral. Having a coral/orange back blended to a yellow belly with black eye shadow. Condition is Mint in Box (tight hairline in right eye, most likely from heat during decades of storage), still in original tissue, in its super crisp, correctly marked 980COR box with printed interior bottom. To our knowledge, no other coral Oreno-Teaser in box, other than those to be sold in this auction, exist in this condition. This combination is just as it was received by Zane Grey from the South Bend factory. This and all items included in this historic find come with a letter of provenance stating this bait came directly from Zane Grey's personal steamer trunk #44, which accompanied him on his 1939 trip to Australia.
