Zane Grey Owned 1930's Fish Attractors

Sign In to see what this sold for

Great lot of early saltwater teasers, including six rare Hetzel scented feathered attractors, all as found in a La-Nut peanut butter jar, just as Grey had left it. Also, seven lead head feathered attractors, most look unused. And, a great bakelite squid attractor, unmarked as to maker, but still retaining the original rubber tentacles, dry and brittle from many decades of storage, as found in a little paper bag, with "Squid" in pencil, most likely hand written by Grey himself. This and all items included in this historic find come with a letter of provenance stating these baits came directly from Zane Grey's personal steamer trunk #44, which accompanied him on his 1939 trip to Australia.
