Extremely Rare Catch-All Spring Hook in Box

As found in its original 2 piece cardboard box is this Catch-All Fish Hook, made by Calvert Franks, remnants of the paper end label identifying the maker. Top of mechanism is stamped "PAT. PEND'G", patented by Walter Calvert in 1912. Signs of minor repair to both the trap and the box top. This exact trap is pictured in Spring Loaded Fish Hooks, Traps & Lures identification and value guide. To date, this is the only known box, and one of only two examples of this spring steel and tin trap. The rarest and most important of all American fish traps in box.
