Scarce Native American Harpoon Point

Measuring 6 1/4", of walrus tusk?, which also would have been used as a fish hook. Carved ivory/bone secures hook/point by two pinned through iron dowels. With great patina, most likely dating from the mid 1800's or earlier. Origin unknown. Deaccessioned from Arlan Carter's Northland Fishing Museum in Osseo, Wisconsin.
