Early Tortoise Shell & Pearl Hook

2 3/8" long antique hook made of what looks to be carved tortoise shell. With a hand carved mother of pearl attractor lashed to the back of the hook by a meticulously knotted thin twisted rope. Line tie is a simple arrow shape carved into the end of the hook. Origin unknown. Looks to be early to mid 1800's, in excellent condition.
