Queen Anne Mahogany Carved Dressing Table, Massachusetts, c. 1740-60, the molded overhanging top on a concave-carved and valanced case of thumbmolded drawers centering a carved fan, on cabriole legs ending in pad feet on platforms, brass pulls appear to be original, dark patina, (imperfections), ht. 30 1/2, case wd. 30 1/4, case dp. 17 in.

Provenance: The descendants of Sarah Orne Jewett, South Berwick, Maine.

Condition: top has been reset at least once with replaced wood blocks; added wood screws to attach legs; small patch to one return;
