Federal Cherry Carved and Mahogany Veneer Dressing Table, Connecticut Valley, early 19th century, original surface, with old turned wooden pulls, (minor imperfections), ht. 34 1/2, wd. 29 3/4, dp. 18 1/2 in.

Note: A handwritten note affixed inside top drawer reads: "Part of Grandmother Smead's wedding outfit, 1814, Grandmother Smead was Elizabeth Hawks, who lived in William Sheldon House."
