Nine Assorted Chinese Export Items, 19th century, a pair of painted zinc wall pockets issuing white porcelain flowers on sheet iron stems, a box containing carved ivory chess pieces, a typewritten note tucked inside indicates it was brought home to Fairhaven, Massachusetts, on the clipper ship Flying Cloud in 1861; three gilt-lacquered tea caddies, one containing a porcelain teabowl, both decorated with the same monogram and eagle motif; a watercolor on ivory portrait miniature of a lady in an ornately carved wooden easel frame, two small oval lacquered bowls centered with wiggling carved tortoiseshell turtle figures under glass, ht. 1 3/4-11 1/2 in.
