Scrimshaw Decorated Whale's Tooth, mid-19th century, the obverse engraved with a stern view of a whaling vessel with whaleboats, flying an American flag, the reverse depicting a young woman, leaning on the arm of a settee, (cracks), ht. 5 7/8 in.

Condition: Two fine cracks, each about 4 in. lg. on center of both sides.
