Whalebone and Ivory Yarn Swift, mid-19th century, with turned ivory yarn cup supported on a turned whalebone shaft with turned barrel-form ivory clamp, expanding whalebone slats joined with silk ribbons, (minor age cracks, one slat broken, lacking some ribbons), ht. 24, dia. (opened) approx. 25 in.
