Two Wallpaper-covered Band/Hat Boxes, America, c. 1835, one with the cover depicting a castle, rocky island, and sailboat on a lake, typically the cover that was used on the one offered here with "A PEEP AT THE MOON" showing a telescope, and telescopic views of lunar figures and landscape; the other box depicting a ship on the cover, the sides showing the "GRAND CANAL" scene, (wear), ht. 11, 12, dia. 17, 17 1/2 in.
