A bronze lion with a uraeus upon its head. Nice detail to the face and mane with incised detailing on the body. An attachment with a bearded face of Bes on the hind quarters and the piece probably was part of a piece of furniture. Graeco-Roman, 1st Century BC - 2nd Century AD. L:2 ¾" (7.2 cm); H: 4 ¾" (11.8 cm). On nice marble base. Ex. old English collection.
