Islamic Central Asia, square incensory

An interesting square incensory from Central Asia, Islamic, 10th - 14th century, the top adorned with two domed areas and a central pillar, small birds at two of the corners. There are two circular openings on opposing corners and the entire vessel sits on found square feet. The top and sides painted in a floral motif with spots of color here and there. Intact and an odd piece! Ex Los Angeles collection.
