A choice Luristan bronze dagger, early 1st millenium BC, the pommel divided into two semicircular 'ears' at right angles to the blade, which has a flat midrib down the center. Blade and handle all one piece. L: 15" (37.4 cm). cf. Moorey, Ashmolean Museum, p. 74, no. 52 for the type; Ex. English collection.
