An attractive Luristan bronze dagger, early 1st millenium BC, the pommel divided into two semicircular 'ear' at right angles to the blade, one side open as designed as a decorative variant. Blade cleaned and probably is original to the pommel. A smaller and more delicate example than the prior lot. L: 11 ½" (29.4 cm). cf. Moorey, Ashmolean Museum, p. 74, no. 51- 52 for the general type; Ex. English collection.
