An oil lamp with Minerva, Roman North Africa, 4th - 5th Century AD. Redware terracotta lamp, mouldmade, with central medallion featuring the bust of Minerva, wearing helmet and aegis, within a decorative border. Raised, circular base. Some minor chipping to the handle and signs of use. L: 5 ¼" (13.3cm). Ex. English Private collection; Ex. Royal Athena Galleries, New York.
