A mold-blown glass head flask, depicting a male youth, Eastern Mediterranean, late 2nd - 3rd Century AD, of deep purple glass. The features are soft and the hair somewhat stylized. Blown in a two part mould, the seams clearly visible along the sides; concave base. H: 3 7/8" (9.9 cm). Largely intact, some areas of weathering and a few tiny holes. Cf. Hermitage, pp. 283-285, no. 159 for type.
