A fine Lambayeque (Sican) figural vessel from Peru, c. AD 700 - 1350. It depicts an individual wearing a mask, as well as being adorned with a labret. Arms are indicated along the side mold seams. H: 8 ¼". In excellent condition, with nicely burnished slip and good mineral deposits. Ex Frank Kapia collection, New York.
