A nice Lambayeque deity bottle, Peru, c. AD 700 - 1350. This excellent blackware bottle depicts the primary deity Naymlap, flanked by two of his children. The details are nicely molded and finely incised, with felines projecting from his sides. The loop handle has a third figure facing him from the rear. H: 8 ¾". Strong mineral deposits, minor repair. Ex Los Angeles collection.
