A fine Moche V globular jar from Peru, c. AD 550 - 700, decorated with three complex depictions of weapons bundles, showing a shield, battle club, atlatl and spears, surrounded by various decorative designs. The chevron rim band shows the Huari stylistic influence on ceramics from this Terminal Period. H: 6 ¼". Cf. Donnan "Moche Fineline Painting I", page 155, for nearly identical example from Berlin's Museum for Volkerkunde. Ex Andrea Sarmiento collection, Miami.
