A lovely Moche molded flask from Peru, c. AD 550 - 700. This fine redware example is decorated with two depictions of the Crested Animal, molded in high relief and enhanced with cream pigment. H: 4 3/5". Cf. Donnan "Moche Fineline Painting I", pages 35 & 192. Ex Andrea Sarmiento collection, Miami.
