GEORGE III STERLING TEA CADDY BY JOHN LAMBE, LONDON, 1785-86, H 5", A DUPONT-ROOSEVELT JR. GIFT:Sterling silver tea caddy having a hinged lid and canted corners with engraved borders at all sides. Hallmarks include a crowned leopard, lion passant, king's profile, date letter "k", and maker's mark "I.L" enclosed in an oval for John Lambe; an engraved inscription at the underside "E du P and FDR Jr. 1937"---a wedding gift for Ethel DuPont and Franklin Delano Roosevelt Jr. Weighs approximately 11.65 troy oz., measures H.5" to the finial, W.3 1/2", D.3 3/8". No key.

Few minor dings noted to the exterior; several small spots of solder reinforcement noted to the interior. Chs
