First Edition under this title.First reprint edition, without original photographs but with a slightly expanded text, of Whitney's 'The Yosemite Book' published in 1868 which included original albumen prints. One map is of Yosemite Valley and the other is of the area adjacent to Yosemite Valley. Laid in is a 2 page printed description, from an unidentified source, of the Mammoth Tree Grove.
