Born in Venice in 1920, he received his diploma from the Art Institute of the same city in 1942. After the WWII he was one of the founders of the "L'ARCO" Cultural Center of Venice and exhibited at the Venice Biennale. His works are executed using a wide variety of materials - wood, iron, cord and rope. He also makes artistic books where gold shines through dust and glass fragments to remind one of pieces of lost mosaics.
