Robert Helsmoortel : Henry Howard

12h x 9w inches, marker on paper. Bio: Born in Antwerp in 1922, Helsmoortel studied classical art in Europe with the patronage of Queen Elizabeth of Belgium. He is an artist of international renown. He arrived in the US in 1959 after having exhibited his colossal sculpture (30 ft x 100ft) at the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair. Some of his inspiration comes from a time when he lived with Pablo Casals. His works are on display in Europe and North America.
