KARL ALBERT, OIL ON MASONITE, 18" X 24", "DESERT SILVER": AMERICAN 1911-2007:Landscape is done the typical California artist style. With a large expanse of blue sky which fills the background and is accented with a grand mountain chain at the lower third of the background. The foreground shows a dry desert sand which is punctuated by a large leafy tree at the center of the midground, as well as other groups of foliage depicted in shades of green, orange and yellow. Signed "Karl Albert" at the lower right corner and housed within a gilt frame. The verso reveals a "Desert-Southwest Art Gallery, Palm Desert, Calif." label which contains the following information: Title- Desert Silver, Size- 18" x 24", Price- (marked out), Artist- Karl Albert, No- 1088, Date- 10/10/64; all in red ink. Overall size of frame: H. 23.5" x W. 29.5"
