WINTERHALTER & HOFFMEIR GRANDFATHER CLOCK, CIRCA 1899, CARVED MAHOGANY, H 102", RETAILED BY HARDY &:W & H, Germany. Revolving hand painted moon phase dial. Westminster chimes. Three brass weights. Extraordinary carving on mahogany case including free standing Ionic and Corinthian columns, bevelled glass front and side panels, dramatic claw feet, arched hood with carved pediment. Brass works stamped W & H, also Germany. Hardy & Hayes: fine Pittsburg jewelers. 2 door keys and 1 winding key in customer file. 3 weights and pendulum inside of clock.

Gorgeous clock with finely carved mahogany case. (Some of the molding has broken off - we have some of the pieces [attached to clock]; some craquelure to finish; keys in customer file. Rf) Signed W & H Sch. W 25", D 16 1/2".
