As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: c. 5% spotty overpainting with only a minimal amount in his face (not including the hat); pin hole in his head with a patch on verso of canvas; some craquelure; a few slight nicks in the paint; not lined; canvas is slightly sagging; could use a dusting/light cleaning; original stretchers and period or original frame (slightly nicked).
