W.H. MCDAUGH, OIL ON BOARD, 1931, 20" X 24", STILL LIFE OF VIOLIN WITH MUSIC: CANADIAN B. 1918:19 5/8" x 23 5/8"; Signed and dated lower right; framed. The painting won a prize at the 1931 London, Ontario Western Fair - the artist was only 13 and studied under John Powell Hunt (Canadian 1854-1932).

Under UV light: some overpainting including the '1' of the date; gilt period frame is not original. Rf
