Japanese short sword (tanto), Meiji period, blade shinshinto type, nagasa 26.6cm, hirazukuri tanto, weak tsuguha with irregularities, unsigned (with patches of corrosion); shakudo menuki of foliate design; shakudo fuchi with relief design of flowering prunus with gilt accents, unsigned; oval shakudo tsuba, machibori type, decorated with gagaku drum, curtain and spray of maple leaves in gilt on a nanako ground; copper kozuka fashioned with a large 'lobster' with gilt accents; black lacquered scabbard (saya) scattered with inlay of ray-skin (some wear, losses)
