Drum has original hand painted regimental eagle on blue field. There are the original brass tack patterns on the side. Rope is possibly original, certainly period. Retains seven original leather tensioners and original drum heads. Drum sticks are period items and possibly original. Included is a post card from the rolling drum shop owned by Charles J. Soistman dated Feb 9, 1967 referring to this drum. Original drum heads are intact with no tears or rips but do show their age. Regimental eagle does have some touch up done prior to consignor's purchase in 1967.
