Containing 50 carte d'visite portraits of significant Civil War military and political figures, circa 1860. Thick 12mo, full red blind-stamped leather, a.e.g., two fixtures for metal clasps. Photographs by Early Anthony, Brady and others.

Individual portraits include Abraham Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln, Generals Ulysses S. Grant, George G. Meade, Winfield Scott Hancock, G. K. Warren, William Tecumsah Sherman, James B. McPherson and others.
