8vo, original blue cloth-backed boards with blind-stamped single-rule frame, unclipped pictorial dust jacket. First edition, first printing with "A" and printer's device on copyright page. Front jacket flap in the first issue state with the three quoted blurbs by T. S. Eliot, H. L. Mencken and Paul Rosenfeld on the front flap. Fitzgerald's last completed novel published during his lifetime. First printing copies in the original jacket are exceedingly rare. Bruccoli A15.I.a.
