8vo, original blue cloth, spine lettered in white, dust jacket, pictorial endpapers. First edition. Inscribed on the half-title, "to Gareth L. Pawlowski, with the author's sincere good wishes, Herman Wouk," dated July 2, 1970. Also with hand written note from the author to Mr. Pawlauski laid in. Minor wear to edges of dust jacket; some soiling to rear panel; otherwise fine.
