DANISH NEOLITHIC TYPE V-A DAGGER 6000 B.C. A Scandinavian dagger these blades are known as the finest lithics in the world, this particular piece is featured in D.C. Waldorf book page 138 and reads in ex. "PF-83 TYPE V-A DAGGER from the Scott Young collection USA , this dagger may have been made from a beache coble, the obverse view shows a small patch of cortex on the edge of the pommel and 2 cracks left by wave battering are visible near the upper right hand portion of the handle, the reverse (right) shows the rough seam on the pommel where the top flakes were removed from one face, as is common to the type. Grinding patches are visible on both blade faces, as is damage to the edge, with the right hand view showing it best. A black tar like residue was found in and around the damaged area, this may be pine tar or some resin like substance used to repair the damaged edge, the side stitching is coarse about 13 flakes per inch."
