[Hawaiian Government Survey:] March 1900. Colored map of the island of Kauai. Condition: folds, some browning, perforated stamps of Free Library of Philadelphia, expert restorations, matted. map of kauai, the hawaiian island later owned by dole pineapple. A re-issue of the 1879 map delineated by Walter E. Wall and Fred Harvey. The island was purchased by James Dole in 1922 for $1.1 million dollars and pineapple was planted there until the 1980s.
