Contemporary half green morocco, spines tooled and lettered in gilt, t.e.g. Condition: some very light foxing and darkening; spines uniformly faded, rubbing to extremities. Provenance: Joseph Hixon Colm (bookplates); Lucius C. Colnan (ownership signature). first edition. Dressed in full disguise as a Muslim pilgrim, Burton became one of the first Englishman to travel to Meccah and other holy Islamic sites.
