Contemporary full straight grained blue morocco, elaborately stamped in gilt and blind, spine tooled and lettered in gilt and blind, gilt turn-ins with Greek key device, pink watered endpapers, a.e.g. Condition: covers strengthened at hinges. slight browning and foxing, slightly worn. Provenance: Contemporary gift inscription from Dorothy Watson, Richard Watson's widow (naming him as the Bishop of Landaff), to the Marquis of Hastings; W.A. Harding of Madingley (small booklabel); Estelle Doheny (small booklabel). the doheny copy; with a gift inscription from bishop watson's widow. Also tipped into this volume is a manuscript copy of a poem in the hand of Dorothy Watson, on her mourning stationery, entitled "On Bishop Watson" by William Hayley.
