Contemporary full red morocco, overs triple ruled in gilt, spine tooled and lettered in gilt, raised bands, a.e.g. Condition: light foxing and browning; minor edgewear. the sensuality of "daphne et chloe" captured in a series of impressive engravings after drawings by philippe, duc d'orléans, Regent to the French throne until his death in 1723. The original 1718 plates were improved, adding elaborate borders and other adaptations, and appear in this edition only. Cohen-de Ricci 653.
