Original printed wrappers with rice-paper covers, printed on handmade paper, untrimmed. Condition: rice paper lightly chipped at edges. A handsome copy. first edition, limited to 120 copies. this is number xviii of 18 copies reserved for the author, and inscribed on the colophon page "To Francis Rose from Gertrude Stein". Rose was an artist and close friend of Stein's who benefitted much like Picasso from Stein's promotion of his work.
