Bank, Rose (American 1908-1989), A New Yorker; she trained in weaving
in London's Central School of Arts & Crafts, when she lived in
London, 1954-56, with her family. They moved to Pittsburgh
1960, where she lived 29 years. Rose was President of Weavers Guild and very active at former Arts & Crafts Centre, & taught at Carnegie Mellon University.She wove fiber artworks including; shawls, scarves, cloths, hangings, etc., Virtually All her work is
in private hands or collections.
