R-1 Old museum copy of a 400 B.C. Assyrian bronze helmet. One-piece hammered, conical shape with a shield shaped forehead/nasal guard, surmounted with a 2 3/4" x 7 1/2" affixed relief peacock. Side ear protectors have 2 3/4" x 4" panels bearing relief warriors. Shield shaped neck protector. Has an old aged patina. Probably late 19th century. Decorative. Condition II
