R-9 Kingdom of Poland/Saxony spontoon/bayonet. Circa 1725. 7 5/8" x 1 3/8" leaf shaped blade with an engraved crowned "AR" cypher (Augustus Rex). Turned base and cross guard on a 3 1/2" socket cut for fitting over the end of a barrel. Steel has grayed and has some minute dark pitting. Rare. Condition II
