B-123 - WWII two-medal grouping: (1) Silver Star. Slot brooch - missing pin. Reverse engraved to "LLOYD S. COOPER III". With Ribbon bar and lapel device. Original leather presentation case and cardboard box. (2) Purple Heart. Reverse engraved as above. With ribbon bar and lapel device in presentation case. Purple Heart Citation states that Private Cooper was wounded in action and died from his wounds on February 16, 1944. (Both awards won in Italy, while serving with the 3rd Infantry Division.) Also a Presidential Certificate of Gratitude. Also with Cooper's cap eagle, o'seas hat, leather belt/buckle, photographs, burial flag with box of mailing, and volumes of newspaper articles, accolades, etc. II.....$400.00
