U.S. Marines "Mameluke" dress sword

D-104 U.S. Marines "Mameluke" dress sword. 60% of the simulated ivory grip is missing, but 3 of the star designed rivets remain. Gilt finish is gone from the "diamond" shaped cross guard with acorn finials. Blade engraved with "UNITED STATES MARINES", military motifs, and name of owner "Radford Carter West". Reverse similar. Marked "TRADE CONQUEROR MARK - N.S. MEYER INC." shows some small black spotting and cutting edge shows abuse and is "nicked". Nickeled scabbard with laurel leaf embellished narrow brass bands/rings and a rose decorated brass drag. Circa WWI. Should be restored. Condition II $100.00
