British Guard Hussar tunic

F-61 - Guard Hussar officer "dolman". Pre-1897, waist length fine red quality fabric. Eighteen rows of heavy double gold bullion cord "frogging" with five rows of 18 each, large gilt brass "ball" buttons. Some wear on "frogging" button loops. Fine woven gold wire "basket weave" "tape" - intertwined "pretzel" design on cuffs. Back has 9/16" wide gold "tape" shafts within gold bullion framing, extending to shoulders and culminating in gold bullion cord coils and stylized "pine tree" designs. Two double gold bullion cords, one with a "twisted barrel" button, attached under collar. Red cloth lining. Probably originally had a fur facing on the collar and cuffs. II......500.00
