S-3 - 3rd Panzer Division Recommendation List for the War Merit Cross 2nd Class for Schutzen Regiment 394. Includes a listing of 13 enlisted men from that Regiment. Signed in purple pencil "Model", as Gen.Lt. and Division Commander. (Model fought in WWI and won acclaim for his book on Prussian General von Gneisenau. During WWII he commanded the 3rd Panzer Division in Russia, rose to head Army Groups and in 1944 became Commander-in-Chief West. He was the recipient of the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Brilliants). Matted with a 14" x 12" frame. II.....$300.00
