S-6 - Six-page legal typed folio to a Mr. Kuger from Afrikakorps General Alfred Gause. Dated 12 February 1964, this lengthy response deals with Hitler's knowledge of Clausewitz and German military strategy in WWII. Gause maintains that while "Hitler possessed extraordinary intelligence, uncanny perceptiveness and a phenomenal memory…" he waged war in opposition to Clausewitz's teachings. Ink signed "Alfred Gause". With a full English translation and a postwar photocopy of Gause in a General's uniform wearing a Knights Cross. (Gause is best remembered as Rommel's Chief of Staff in North Africa.) II.....$200.00
