A-22 "DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE" standard. Borrowing the concept from the Roman Legions, Hitler designed what became the classic banner of the SA branch of the N.S.D.A.P. Utilizing the old Imperial colors, the Nazis now had a dramatic patriotic flag. A vibrant red silk field was selected with a silver bullion "tape" outlined 15 1/4" diameter white disc center - with a black cord outlined black swastika, with a silver tape inner border. Embroidered horizontal black outlined white lettering "DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE". Red/white/black cotton fringe on three sides. Reverse - same except for lettering "NAT. SOZ. DEUTSCHE ARBEITERPARTEI - STURMABTEILUNG". Red leather "patch" at top center - to prevent scuffing. With full length cords/snap hooks, tassels and "polished" wood crossbar with "acorn" ends. Excellent to mint condition. Rare. Condition I.....$30,000.00
