A-26 Imperial German King of Hannover Residence three-piece presentation silver candelabra set: (1) Large five-point candelabra. 10 1/2" tall Corinthian column center holding a 9" high five-arm top - decorated with a relief floral pattern. Double tiered base is engraved "DIE KONIGLICHE HAUPT UND RESIDENZSTADT HANNOVER DEM OFFIZERKORPS DES INFANTERIE - REGIMENTS FREIHERR VON SPARR (3. WESTFAL. NR 16) ZUR JUBELFEIR 1818-1913". Reverse is marked "DUX 800", quarter moon and crown. Silver weight 3 1/2 pounds. (2) Single 7 3/4" tall matching Corinthian column candlestick. Front of tiered base is engraved "GENERALMAJOR STERN 1904". Reverse is marked as above. Approximate silver weight one pound. Filled base with a green felt pad. (3) Single silver candlestick as above. Engraved "INFANTERIE REGIMENT FREIHERR VON SPARR NO. 16 1905". Also with silver hallmarks and "800" as above. Approximate silver weight one pound. Filled base with green felt pad. Except for two corner separations on the base of the candelabra, this set would rate as exceptional. A rare set presented to the King of Hannover on the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the 3rd Westfallen Regiment No. 16, 1813-1913, and honoring the Commanders. Condition II+.....$2,500.00
